A Day in Northern Virginia

Thursday we took a trip together up to Purcellville so Danny could see a house he's going to work on, and the girls and I could play with Jodi and her kiddos.
Here are Katie and Preston playing Halo together.

For You, Steph

Recognize this? It made us miss the good ol' days.

Orange, Virginia Mural

Ok, the horses and the hunting almost tempted me to regret leaving the area. Almost.
Becky was in the back seat but managed to snap a good shot of the wall mural on our way past it in Orange.

Da Cohens!

And the reason for our trip up north... Da Cohens!
From California originally, they did a short stint in Leesburg, which is how we met them.
When we heard they were coming to Ashburn, we rushed north to swim for free at their hotel. Oops, I mean visit with them.
Betsy looks as young as ever. But not so Alex and Sophie.
We had a blast with them, although we missed Greggggg and Olivia.
Laura wishes we had taken some photos of the pool at the hotel, where we swam and had a great time. Laura loves to look at pools.

Katie and Preston

These two hit it off right away! We stayed with Tommy and Jodi, and their kids, Josh, Preston, and Maryn.
The kids had a great time together, including running a coffee shop.

Our Trip Back Home

Here's something I can hardly believe people live through. The girls and I went to Northern Virginia for a few days. We saw lots of friends (pictures to follow in the next post) and had a fantastic time. It's a different world, though.
These are totally different roads. The top is Warreton, the bottom is Leesburg, heading to Purcellville.
