Bad Boys, Bad Boys, Watcha Gonna Do?

You're gonna turn down my driveway in the middle of nowhere with two police following close on your heels.

Last night the girls and I were peacefully watching "The #1 Ladies' Detective Agency" when I saw a fast moving car and two police turn into my drive.
I locked the door and told the girls to lock the others and head back to my room. I grabbed and loaded a trusty friend and watched. After I was sure there wouldn't be any shooting I went out and found out what was happening.
The guys in the car were speeding and drunk. They ran for it. They came down in here. They chose poorly.
They also ditched a gun and drugs in my driveway. My driveway had already had its share of drugs in it today from the baby pony's procedure. But that story will have to wait till Iget home from the library.

  1. That's why I live in the inner city of Detroit. The country is to dangerous ;).

  2. Who knew Phenix was such an exciting place? I'm glad the police were there. I'm glad you had the means to protect your family were they not there. I'm glad everyone was okay. I'm glad I live in a quieter neighborhood! :)

  3. You painted such a great picture. I can just picture you holding your rifle/shotgun while the girls were in their bedrooms.

Laura, have you been to Mollie's? I can't imagine a quieter place. Weird that this happens to you, Mollie. Did you make this up for a good blog entry? You got me.

  4. Karen, I felt like I was making it up while it happened. But I knew if I was imagining it, it would go slowly and give me time to enjoy it. So it had to be real.
How dumb could those guys be???!!!
Becky said I looked like the main character from Zombieland with my weapons ; )
Fat Suburbanite Dad pointed out that this probably trumps a helicopter rescue in the field.
Laura, I guess if the police weren't chasing them in the first place, they wouldn't have run down here, so in a way, I was never in any danger of it happening without back up.
Wait, I'd better not use the word, "never."
